“Take risks in your life, If you win, you can lead! If you loose, you can guide!” - SWAMI VIVEKANANDA.
STORY 1 :
In one particular moment, when Vivekananda was delivering speech in America, a white man stood up and said, 'you Indians some are white and some are black'. In our country we all are white. After hearing this, Vivekananda replied, “some are white, but in case of donkey all are white”.
“We are what our thought have made us; So take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; They travel far.” -SWAMI VIVEKANANDHA.
STORY 2 :
When swami Vivekananda was studying law from the University College, London a professor hated him intensely. One day professor was having lunch, Vivekananda came with his plate and sat beside him. Then the professor told, “A bird and pig can never sit together and have lunch”. Vivekananda replied, “Don’t worry sir I will fly away”. Saying this, he went to another table, reddened with rage, professor decided to take revenge.
Next day in class professor posed the question, Vivekananda, while walking in road, if you found two bags, one containing ‘WISDOM’ and another containing ‘LOTS OF MONEY’, which one will you choose? Vivekananda answered, off course, I will take the bag which contains money, sir. Professor mockingly said- if I was given the choice I would have taken the wisdom bag. Vivekananda responded-each one takes what he doesn’t have.
Infuriated by this response, professor wrote ‘IDIOT’ on Vivekananda’s mark sheet and gave it to him. After checking the mark sheet, Vivekananda went to him and said politely, ‘Sir, you signed my paper, but didn’t give me grades’.
“Do not hate anybody, because that hatred which comes out from you must, in the long run, come back to you, if you love, that love will come back to you, completing the circle.”
