Colors can be connected to our spiritual feelings and this sends an unconscious message to others. A fluorescent top with bright color which I mixed with white and this got me into thinking what it means? Fluorescent Color is pretty much existed ever since the whole universe began and plays a part in everyone’s daily life. But how much do you really know about fluorescent colors?

Fluorescent refers to colors that absorb and reflect more light than conventional colors, these pigments are brighter, bolder and better. Some people refer to fluorescent color as neon. Fluorescent or neon colors are extremely bright versions of primary and secondary colors, such as blue, red, green, yellow and purple. Fluorescent colors stand apart from other types of color due to the fact that they emit light, making them luminescent.

The difference between fluorescents absorb and convert light energy of the dominant wavelength, but also the wavelengths of ultraviolet rays and other colors lower in the visible spectrum. Because of this combination, our eyes view fluorescent colors far more intensely as if they’re glowing in front of us. That extra glow you see is called ultraviolet light.

Neon colors posses some of the psychological traits of their related colors. Electric blue can feel calm and tranquil, while neon pink takes on the fun and playful characteristics of pink. neon green strips is more evocative of chemicals or digital, Matrix-inspired code. Links with fluorescent signage further neon’s connection with nightlife, clubbing, and cities after dark, especially when combined with dark colors like black or midnight blue.
